My designs for the Levitt shell extra credit. This was more to force myself to do something out of my comfort zone. Since i like to work with a great amount of detail, I wanted to challenge myself to do a more simplified design. I don't know how well it turned out but this is what i came up with.

For the back of the cards I decided to go with a simple design based on the backdrop in each mugshot.

For project 5 I am doing a movie poster for Lawless. The text will go in the mason jar to work as a label.

Levitt Shell thumbs, kinda

So I only have two sketches done so far but this is basically the idea I want to run with, a shoebox diorama scene of the shell under the stars. I'm going to actually make the diorama and then use that to find the best angle and composition.

For the Illustration and text assignment i want to do the movie poster option for, i'm pretty sure, Lawless. My lack of sketches is due to me clinging to one of my thumbs and having issues pushing myself for new ideas. So i decided to sleep on it, maybe do some thumbs for my other possible choice, Enders Game, and revisit these later.

Zombie Safari! I hand drew the text which will go in the top left corner, but I ended up unsatisfied and will redo it so it will flow better with the design.

             Imagine a zombie outbreak has started off the coast on mexico in the island of Cozumel due to rage monkeys, a virus, or any of the other disaster that has caused the undead to rise. But this time, the island was completely quarantined and the outbreak was contained to the abandoned isle. The survivors gathered together and created a small settlement to learn to get along, cut out from the rest of the world. Years later that settlement has grown into an all out resort. The undead still roam the Island but the beaches have been opened and the Zombie resort of Muertoborough has become the Disneyland for zombie enthusiasts. The resort has activities for the whole family. Thrills include Zombie Safari, Casino, Zombie cage fighting, and shooting range. Also take some time and relax by the pools and beeches with a great view of the tropical zombie infested island. 

Card Progress

So I am a little ahead on my cards I guess but that's a good thing. Since I am working on my final card designs I can get feedback and make changes with plenty of time. So far I have worked a little on my motorcycle club and Mexican gang.

For Jason's company to rival Chris's head shaving company, we created a classy, vaguely steampunk company that provides shaving products as well as more hygienic items. Here is the logo for Industrial Edge.

Project 3 - Logo design

Original Company Creator is responsible for completing their own logo for the company that they created.

Rival Company Creator is responsible for creating a company that competes with the corresponding original company for the same clients.  They conceive the rival company and act as an art director to the logo designer.  They may provide as little as a rough idea to their logo designer or they may provide sketches of their own.

Logo Designer is responsible for creating the logo for the Rival Company Creator and is required to treat this as a paying job and adhere to their art director’s instructions and vision.

Company Logos

For my company I went with a redneck animal control partnership called the Critter Catchin' Cousins. 

They're two top dollar middle school graduates from Bucksnort, TN. Critters get into peoples houses, yards, basements, and attics. Call the Critter Catchin Cousins and if it ain't too scary, we might maybe catch it. 

The logo on the bottom left is the one I would like to go with.
